Plot

Thangaraj(Nassar) is a middle aged man who strives hard working in a factory as a labourer and is married to Meenakshi (Kushboo) .He acts as a fatherly figure to his two younger brothers, Boxer Krishnan (Vadivelu ), a wannabe politician who has nil sources of income and Sivaraman (Karan ) ,an aspiring general manager who works in the same factory as Thangaraj. Boxer Krishnan is married to Kanagavalli (Kovai Sarala ) and is the father of 4 children. Thangaraj and Meenkashi have a daughter named Padma, a teen. As their parents passed away when the trio were very young, Meenkashi willfully pledged all her jewellery to educate Sivaraman and help him in securing a degree.

They reside in the house owned by Veerapandi(Thayagu), a miser, who's sole aim is to earn money and to not let his son Dandapani (Vivek ) get a hold of it.

Thangaraj manages to strike an alliance and his boss (Vijayakumar ). As his boss was very impressed with his family's unity, he decides to give his daughter Tamilselvi's Hand (Roja) to Sivaraman .The marriage takes place in a joyous manner .

After a series of confrontations and misunderstandings, the family eventually splits and each brother goes in his own way.

Thangaraj has to struggle hard as he did not possess a good financial background unlike his youngest brother and is forced to work day and night. After learning about Meenakshis sacrifice to educate her husband during his childhood, Tamilselvi repents for her statements and apologizes. Meanwhile, Dandapani dotes on Padma and decides to marry her and confesses his love.

Short of money to marry of his daughter, Thanagaraj refuses to accept this proposal and is insulted by his brothers on a few occasions when he approached them for help.

Tamilselvi decides to step in and financially supports Padma and her family to make the marriage possible. This, however, does not go down well with her husband Sivaraman, and he verbally and physically assaults her, leading to chaos. Thus, the ladies step forward and decide to conduct the marriage by themselves, and this is opposed by their spouses.

After a series of drama and rioting, Sivaramam repents for his unkind behaviour and acknowledges the sacrifices made by his sister in law Meenkashi.

Thus, the 3 brothers reunite and the movie ends with Padmas marriage to Dandapani.
