Alhassane “Lass” Bangoura (born 30 March 1992) is a Guinean professional footballer who plays for French club Stade de Reims on loan from Spanish club Rayo Vallecano as a right winger.

Club career

Born in Conakry, Bangoura began his career with local Étoile de Guinée. In 2010, aged 18, he joined the youth ranks of Spanish club Rayo Vallecano, scoring 23 goals in 25 games in his last year as a junior.

Without having played for Rayo Vallecano B, Lass managed to appear in four Segunda División matches with the first team during the 2010–11 season, as the Madrid side returned to La Liga after an eight-year absence. In June 2011 he attracted the interest of neighbouring Real Madrid, who made an offer to purchase the player.[1]

Bangoura made his debut in Spain's top division on 28 August 2011, playing 31 minutes in a 1–1 away draw against Athletic Bilbao.[2] On 23 October he netted in a 2–0 win at Real Betis, who also had promoted the previous season;[3] on 19 February 2012 he scored a brace in a 5–3 away success over Levante UD.[4]

In the early days of the 2015 January transfer window, Bangoura was loaned to fellow league side Granada CF until June.[5] He scored on his debut on the 8th, but in a 1–2 home loss to Sevilla FC for the Copa del Rey.[6]

On the last day of the 2016 January transfer window, Bangoura was loaned to Ligue 1 outfit Stade de Reims until the end of the season. [7]

International career

Bangoura represented Guinea during the 2009 African Under-17 Championship.[8] He made his debut for the senior team in 2011 at only 19, and was selected for the following year's Africa Cup of Nations.
