List of Asian Academy Award winners and nominees
From Infogalactic: the planetary knowledge core
This is a list of Asian Academy Award winners and nominees. This list includes Academy Award winners and nominees who have Asian nationality or citizenship, but not descendants of Asian ancestry living abroad. As Asia is a large and diverse region with a massive variety of racial and ethnic groups, this list is not expected to limit itself to the cinematic achievements of those with Far Eastern or Southern Asian nationalities. In the category of Foreign Language Film, this list also includes Asian countries, or films in an Asian language, in addition to films with an Asian director.
This list is current as of the nominees and winners for the 85th Academy Awards which took place on February 24, 2013.
