The Maile Pilau Hornworm or Hummingbird Hawk Moth (Macroglossum pyrrhosticta) is a species of Hawk moth of the family Sphingidae. It is found in Sri Lanka, eastern India, Nepal, Thailand, central and eastern China, South Korea, North Korea, Japan, the southern Russian Far East, Taiwan, the Philippines (Luzon), East Malaysia and Indonesia. It is an introduced species in Hawaii.
The wingspan is 42–56 mm. Adults are on wing from April to August in Hawaii and from late June to late October in Korea.
Larvae have been recorded on Paederia scandens, Psychotria rubra, Paederia foetida and Paederia tomentosa.
