Margaret Ann Throup[1] (born 27 January 1957) is a British Conservative Party politician. She has been the Member of Parliament (MP) for Erewash since May 2015.[2]

Throup previously stood for Colne Valley in 2005 and for Solihull in 2010, narrowly losing each time.

She graduated from the University of Manchester with a BSc in Biology.[3]
