Michael P. Mulrooney[1] (born December 31, 1955) is an American politician and a Democratic member of the Delaware House of Representatives since January 12, 1999 representing District 17.[2]

Education

Mulrooney graduated from John Dickinson High School and served his apprenticeship with the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers.

Elections

  • 2012 Mulrooney was unopposed for the September 11, 2012 Democratic Primary and won the November 6, 2012 General election with 7,297 votes (81.1%) against Republican nominee Laura Brown.[3]
  • 1998 When Republican Representative Jeffrey G. Mack retired and left the District 17 seat open, Mulrooney was unopposed for the September 12, 1998 Democratic Primary and won the November 3, 1998 General election with 2,418 votes (53.5%) against Republican nominee Douglas Salter.[4]
  • 2000 Mulrooney was unopposed for the September 9, 2000 Democratic Primary and won the November 7, 2000 General election with 5,127 votes (74.0%) against Republican nominee Michael Shaw.[5]
  • 2002 Mulrooney was unopposed for both the September 10, 2002 Democratic Primary and the November 5, 2002 General election, winning with 4,340 votes.[6]
  • 2004 Mulrooney won the September 11, 2004 Democratic Primary with 1,198 (79.3%)[7] and won the November 2, 2004 General election with 6,590 votes (81.9%) against Republican nominee Phillip Simpkins.[8]
  • 2006 Mulrooney was unopposed for the September 12, 2006 Democratic Primary and won the November 7, 2006 General election with 4,619 votes (84.2%) against Republican nominee David Osborn.[9]
  • 2008 Mulrooney and Osborn were both unopposed for their September 9, 2008 primaries, setting up a rematch; Mulrooney won the November 4, 2008 General election with 6,981 votes (83.4%) against Osborn.[10]
  • 2010 Mulrooney was unopposed for the September 17, 2010 Democratic Primary and the November 2, 2010 General election, winning with 5,108 votes.[11]
