Michael Wild (born 27 March 1981) is a professional English snooker player.

Career

Wild has regularly appeared as an amateur in Challenge Tour International Open Series, Players Tour Championship and Q School events which all come with qualification to the professional World Snooker Tour. Wild spent one season on the professional tour, the 2003/2004 season, however in 8 ranking events he only won two qualification matches, both in the British Open to Kristjan Helgason and Munraj Pal, before losing to Mike Dunn in the last 80 stage.[2] Wild won only £3,850 prize money during the season[2] and dropped off the tour ranked 121st.[1] Wild has also featured in various ranking tournaments and Masters Qualifying Events as a top up amateur player and was a game away from qualifying for the 2012 Australian Goldfields Open after beating Daniel Wells 5–0, Simon Bedford 5–2, Steve Davis 5–0, before a 0–5 loss to Ken Doherty in the final qualifying round.[3][4]
