Morada Nova sheep
Morada Nova or Brazilian Woolless is the name of a breed of domestic sheep originating in Ceará, states of Brazil, located in the northeastern part of the country, on the Atlantic coast.
This breed is primarily raised for meat.[1]
Characteristics
Rams and ewes are polled. The rams do not have a throat ruff. The predominant color is red to cream, but white animals are also found. The breed is small. Mature ram and ewe weights of about 40 kg (88 lbs) and 30 kg (66 lbs), respectively.[2]
