Morozovsky District (Russian: Моро́зовский райо́н) is an administrative[1] and municipal[2] district (raion), one of the forty-three in Rostov Oblast, Russia. It is located in the east of the oblast. The area of the district is 2,550 square kilometers (980 sq mi).[citation needed] Its administrative center is the town of Morozovsk.[1] Population: 42,404 (2010 Census);[3] 46,395 (2002 Census);[6] 43,574 (1989 Census).[7] The population of Morozovsk accounts for 65.2% of the district's total population.[3]
