Muresk Institute
Muresk Institute is an educational and training facility based in Northam, situated approximately 90 kilometres (56 mi) east of Perth, in the Wheatbelt region of Western Australia. Until 1985 it was known as Muresk Agricultural College.[1][2] The institute was initially managed by Curtin University, later by the Department of Training and Workforce development.
The College was established in 1926 by the Western Australian Government and eventually handed over to the Western Australian Institute of Technology in 1969.[3] It provides training, conference, and research facilities, as well as 898 hectares of land for training-related services.[citation needed] The institute includes several residential and sporting facilities.
Muresk Institute offers two higher education courses. The first being the Bachelor of Agricultural Business Management Run in conjunction with Charles Sturt University and CY O'Connor. The second being the Diploma of Agricultural Technologies run by the University of Queensland. The Bachelor course commenced in March 2014 and the Diploma commenced in February 2015
