Occupation Actor

Noah Reid (born 29 May 1987) is a Canadian actor.

Personal life

Reid was born in Toronto, Ontario. He attended Etobicoke School of the Arts in Toronto for high school and is a graduate of the National Theatre School of Canada. He is also an accomplished musical performer with winnings in various music festivals. He is real-life best friends with Strange Days at Blake Holsey High co-star Michael Seater and Toronto artists Cosmo Dean & James Cooper.

Career

As a child, Reid provided the voice of the title character in Franklin, Tommy Settegren in 1997's Pippi Longstocking, and has since co-starred in Strange Days at Blake Holsey High, among other shows. Reid played the role of Darrell Fox in the made for television movie Terry which dramatized Terry Fox's historic run for cancer research. Reid also provides the voice for "Gunther" in the animated series Jane and the Dragon, Eddie in Marvin The Tap-Dancing Horse, Screwy in the Rolie Polie Olie film The Great Defender of Fun as well as various characters in Little Bear, Redwall, Mythic Warriors: Guardians of the Legend, Mozart's Magnificent Voyage, Tales from the Cryptkeeper, Timothy Goes to School, Babar: King of the Elephants and Bad Dog.

In 2009, Reid guest-starred in the Degrassi: The Next Generation episode "Danger Zone". Noah portrayed Chris, the "deadbeat from Lakehurst" that held Spinner and Holly J. at gunpoint for all of the money in The Dot Grill.

Ried's first leading role in a feature film was Farley Gordon in Score: A Hockey Musical --which premiered at the 2010 Toronto International Film Festival. The stereotypically Canadian storyline follows a local pond hockey player who is skyrocketed to hockey stardom after being discovered during an afternoon game. Gordon must not only grapple with the sudden media attention, but becomes the centre of a controversial debate over the presence of fighting in hockey. As the title states, the film is of course a musical.

Old Stock, also filmed and produced in Canada, features young man Stock Burton who after spending the last two years living in his grandfather's retirement home, is forced to face his past and come out of early retirement by living his life like everyone else in his small town.
