Oldham Mumps (LNWR) railway station served the Mumps area of Oldham between 1856 and 1862.
History
The station opened on 5 July 1856[1] as the terminus of the London and North Western Railway (LNWR) branch from Greenfield. The line was later extended westwards to link up with the Oldham, Ashton and Guide Bridge Railway, and a new LNWR station at Oldham Glodwick Road was opened on 1 November 1862; the LNWR's Oldham Mumps station closed the same day.[1]
