History
UK & Ireland
In 2008, Protect Your Bubble launched in the UK.[6] The company tagline is "Your life, Our Lifestyle Cover" and the company mascots are known as Bubble (a bubble) and Squeak (a mouse), which is a nod to the traditional English dish Bubble and Squeak.[citation needed] In 2013, the company decided to enter its third market by launching in Ireland.[7] Meanwhile, Rob Basinger was hired on to head UK operations during the summer of the same year.[8][9] In late 2013, tennis legend John McEnroe starred in a television commercial as part of the UK advertising campaign.[10] In 2015, Olympic and Commonwealth gold medalist, Geraint Thomas, partnered with Protect Your Bubble UK to become their cycling brand ambassador. The Welsh cyclist, who once had a TT bike stolen from his car, now promotes their insurance for bicycles worth up to £8,000.[11]
US
In 2012, the company sought to expand its business and began offering its products in the US.[12] In 2014, Stacey Vogler was tasked to lead the US operations.[13][14] Protect Your Bubble partnered with Snap One in July to offer a complimentary mobile security app, Snap Secure, for new customers of its Identity Theft protection plan.[15] In August, PYB US launched its new Protection Plans offering which is a multi-device coverage plan, bundled under one policy.[16]
Brazil
In 2014, Protect Your Bubble entered the Brazilian market under the name, Bem Mais Seguro.[17] In the same year, the company used Brazilian actor Márcio Garcia in a series of commercials to promote their products.[18]
