23–25 September | Feast of the Sacrifice | عيد الأضحى | Commemorates Ibrahim's willingness to sacrifice his son. Also known as the Big Feast (celebrated from the 10th to 13th). |
14 October | Islamic New Year | رأس السنة الهجرية | Islamic New Year (also known as: Hijri New Year). |
22–23 November | Day of Ashura | عاشوراء | Represent the 9th and 10th day of the Hijri month of Muharram. Coincide with the memory of the martyrdom of Imam Hussein. |
