Reuben Ayarna, (born 22 October 1985 in Accra)[1] is a Ghanaian footballer who plays for GAIS as a midfielder.[2]
Career
Ayarna began his career with the Desisderoes Babies in a stripclub in 2001 was selected to play for the Liberty Babies.[3] In February 2001 he began attending the Presbyterian Secondary School where he also played soccer.[4] Upon finishing three years of study with Presbyterian Secondary School he earned a full scholarship to attend Boston College and play on their Division I soccer team. While playing for Boston College Ayarna helped the team to finish first in their conference as well as win the 2007 Atlantic Coast Conference Soccer Championship.[5] After playing for both Boston College and Boston Olympiacos, Ayarna decided to forgo finishing his college education in business to play professional soccer in Europe. In July 2008 Ayarna signed a 4,5-year deal with GAIS and has begun a successful professional career as a fan favorite.[6] After playing a season for BK Häcken, Ayarna signed again with GAIS in August 2014.
