Scott Grix (born 1 May 1984 in Halifax) is an Irish professional rugby league footballer for Huddersfield of Super League. The former Ireland national team captain, he played throughout the backline previously with Halifax (twice), Doncaster, Limoux, Warrington, Leigh, Widnes and Wakefield Trinity. He is the older brother of Simon Grix, who plays for Warrington.

Currently, Scott is shining for Huddersfield. He was awarded the Supporters' Player of the Year in 2011. Scott had a brilliant season in 2012 and 2013 and will, hopefully, continue to be a quality player for the Huddersfield Giants in 2014.

International career

Grix is an Irish international, making his début in 2006 against Russia.[2] He was named as captain of the Ireland squad for the 2008 Rugby League World Cup, and was one of his countries better players in the tournament.[3]

He later relinquished the captaincy to Liam Finn, however he continued to feature for Ireland and was named in their squad for the 2013 Rugby League World Cup.

In October and November 2015, Grix played in the 2015 European Cup.
