The Seattle Rainmakers are a professional Ultimate Frisbee team in the Western Division of Major League Ultimate. They began their inaugural season in 2013.

History

The Rainmakers were founded along with 7 other teams in 2012 for the inaugural 2013 season of Major League Ultimate. In 2013 they were second in the MLU West after the San Francisco Dogfish with a record of 8-2.[1] In 2014 the Rainmakers were third in their conference with a 4-6 record.[2] In 2015 they had the second best win-loss record at 5-5[3] in the West, after the Portland Stags, but they beat Portland in the MLU West Conference Championship game[4] and played the Boston Whitecaps in Philadelpia for the MLU Championship game, which Boston won.[5] The Rainmakers have a 1-2 record for the 2016 season so far, losing their first two games to the Portland Stags[6][7] and winning their third game against the Vancouver Nighthawks.[8][9]
