Sohrab Goth

Sohrab Goth (Urdu: سہراب گوٹھ ‎) is a suburb of Gadap Town in Karachi, Sindh, Pakistan. It acts as an entry point to Karachi from the rest of Pakistan. There is a bridge over the Lyari River connecting other areas of Karachi to Sohrab Goth. Bridge building started in 2000 and completed in 2006.

Sohrab Goth is a illegal goth settlement on encroached land public land built in 1970s.[1][2]

Demography

The population of Sohrab Goth is predominantly Pakhtun and the majority belong to the Mehsud tribe. The ethnic groups in Gulshan-e-Hadeed include Pakhtuns, Muhajir, Sindhis, Punjabis, Sindhis, Kashmiris, Seraikis, Balochs, Memons, etc.
