Critical reception
Lewis Corner of Digital Spy reviewed the song stating: "It hasn't been an easy few months for Chipmunk. Having started the year on a high with his top two hit 'Champion', follow-up 'In The Air' barely scraped the top 40 and its parent album subsequently struggled to garner a top ten placing. Looking to revive his ailing chart glory, could the assistance of US hip-hop star Trey Songz be the antidote that Chippers so sorely needs? "I keep my life in a limelight/ Pap lights, award shows, red floors/ Booji bars, yes, it's what I'm meant for," Chip explains in his familiar North London street-lingo with the same modesty as a banker's Christmas bonus. Meanwhile, Trey croons, "it's like you didn't want me to take off" over a chorus of gloopy R&B beats and orchestral strings. We hate to say it, but it's going to take a helluva lot more power than this to lift Chip off the ground." .[2]
