The Brass Bottle is a 1923 American silent fantasy comedy film produced and directed by Maurice Tourneur and distributed by First National Pictures. This story by novelist F. Anstey was produced as a Broadway play in 1910. A 1914 silent followed. Both silent versions are lost.[1] A colorful 1964 sound version appeared starring Tony Randall and Barbara Eden [2][3][4]

Anstey's story was later a major influence on the television show I Dream of Jeannie of which Barbara Eden starred.[citation needed]
