"The TRANSFORMATION Project" was established at Aston University Business School. It is funded by the Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC) until September 2010. The main focus of this project is to take existing theory about project management practice and change management to create a suite of management tools to improve project and organisational performance.
It was created with the support of the Centre for Project Management Practice at Aston Business School. Some of the organisations already on board with the project include DHL Exel Supply Chain, Warwickshire Police, Loughborough University, Associated British Foods plc, Network Rail, Catalyst Education, Playgroup and Echo. [1]
The principal aim of The TRANSFORMATION Project is to create a suite of management tools, which can be implemented in organisations, based on three academic theories : Actor-network theory, Receptivity for change and Social networks. [2]
The Transformation Project will shortly be hosting their first conference, ‘Transformation: the what, the good and the how’ on 16 March 2010 at Aston Business School, Birmingham. [3]
