Tige Arthur Simmons, OAM[1] (born 5 May 1977) is an Australian wheelchair basketball player. He became a paraplegic due to a motorbike accident.[2] He was part of the gold medal winning Australia men's national wheelchair basketball team [3] at the 2008 Summer Paralympics,[4] for which he received a Medal of the Order of Australia. [1] He was a member of the Australia men's national wheelchair basketball team that competed at the 2010 Wheelchair Basketball World Championship [5][6] that won a gold medal.[7] He plays his club basketball for the Brisbane Spinning Bullets in Queensland. He plays as a guard and is classified as a 1.0 player.[5] In 2010, he was playing club basketball with the Brisbane Spinning Bullets.[8]

At the 2012 Summer Paralympics he was part of the Australian men's wheelchair team that won silver.[9]
