Tini Tom is an Indian film actor and mimicry artist. His original name is Devassy.[2]

Career
Tini Tom started his career as a mimicry artist and has worked with famous troupes such as Seven Arts, Cochin Guinness and Kalabhavan[3] which saw him going places.[4] He also done a TV comedy program called Tom & Jerry with Guinness Pakru, which became a success. This program is one of the programs which helped both of them to get chances in cinemas. Tini Tom made his big-screen debut with Panchapandavar (1998) but it was through the Mammootty-starrer Pattalam that he gained some notice. He got his career break with Ranjith's Mammootty-starrer Pranchiyettan & the Saint in which he portrayed the role of a driver. His effective use of Thrissur-slang of Malayalam language earned him high praise.[5]
His roles as the expensive land dealer in Indian Rupee, the noticeable character in Beautiful and the bartender in Spirit gave him a place in the fore-front of Malayalam cinema.[6]
He is also a permanent judge in Vodafone Comedy Stars, a comedy reality show in Asianet.
Tini Tom acted as Mammootty's dupe in the Malayalam film Annan Thambi.[7] His body was used for playing the twin role with Mammootty. He also lend his body for Mammootty's dual role films such as Ee Pattanathil Bhootham and Paleri Manikyam: Oru Pathirakolapathakathinte Katha. He said that he was blessed to become the shadow of the legend actor Mammootty.
He acted as the leading role in 2013 Malayalam Film Housefull for the first time in his acting career, in which he portrayed the role of a 36-year-old police constable who has experienced multiple failures at trying to find a woman to marry and at last after marriage as a result of fertility treatments the couple got four kids in a single delivery. Jyothirmayi was the actress who portray the role of Tini Tom's wife. Two Malayalam films namely "Green Apple" and "Odum Raja Aadum Rani" are set to release in 2014, in which he is playing the lead roles.
Personal life and education
Tom was born at North Paravoor, Kerala. He has a sister Tincy. His father, Puthevelikkal Pallaty Tomy T.D, is an engineer.[8] Tom completed his pre-degree course at St. Albert's College, Ernakulam, and has a degree in politics from Maharajas College, Ernakulam. He studied law at Ramamanohar Lohia College in Bangalore, but has not finished the course. Tom hold blue belt in karate. He is married to Rupa and has a son Adam.[9]
