25 | 1 | "Wielding the Tenseiga" | Akira Toba | Katsuyuki Sumisawa | Masakazu Hishida | October 2, 2021 | TBA | [9] |
With Tenseiga having been broken by a spiteful Zero, Towa begins to infuse the heavenly healing sword with her limited amounts of demonic energy in order to revive Setsuna. Tōtōsai and Jaken arrive at the scene, and Tōtōsai states that he needs three whole days to mend Tenseiga. Unfortunately, by that time, Setsuna's vital essence will have been already sent to the Underworld, thus rendering the repaired Tenseiga powerless and that they have no other option but to rely on Towa's own demonic strength and will. While Towa struggles to utilize Tenseiga's heavenly abilities to try and save her twin's spiritual essence, Tōtōsai retrieves the hilt of Setsuna's broken naginata and begins to restore it to create the blood bade she inherited from being one of Sesshomaru's half-demon daughters, the Yukari no Takichri. This greater infusion of a blend of pure demonic and mystical energy attracts a mass of demons both living and deceased. Moroha utilizes her now-somewhat stronger and more effective spiritual powers to purify a few dozen demons all at once with one single sacred arrow alone, with backup from Kirara, but the two are largely outnumbered by their fellows. As the horde of demons turn their attention to a concerned Sesshomaru and his unconscious twin daughters, the recently resurrected Setsuna awakes upon her name being said by her father, who fiercely holds her greatly advanced and upgraded naginata aloft, the Yukari no Tachikiri, and easily slays the demons, which Moroha and Kirara had not been able to do away with, in one single stroke. Sesshomaru then hands the broken Tenseiga to Tōtōsai for its three day mending, and leaves with Jaken. Before leaving himself, Tōtōsai warns Setsuna to never let herself be murdered again as the Tenseiga can only return sentient beings, human or demon, to life only once. While Towa remains unconscious from having drained herself of all her inherent demonic energy to resurrect her twin sister, Tōtōsai instructs Setsuna on how look for a mystical Kyūyōkon Root from the 2,014 year old Magnolia demon tree Bokusenō to receive a proper fully empowered demonic weapon for Towa to replace the broken Kikujūmonji Knockoff she has been foolishly wielding since her return to the timeline of birth.
26 | 2 | "Demon Spirit of the Sea" | Kento Nakagomi | Hiroko Kanasugi | Kazuo Terada | October 9, 2021 | TBA | [10] |
While Setsuna is on a mission to retrieve a mystical Kyūyōkon Root, Moroha asks Jyūbei about how to find the ancient demon-tree Bokusenō by finding a demon that knows of a demon of such wisdom and mystical demonic abilities. Moroha meets up with Setsuna to find it but end up encountering the snake-demon spirit disguised as a human nun, who desires Setsuna's waist-length hair to appease her intense fury and bitterness at never being able to restore her true form. But when Towa gets wind of where her twin sister and paternal half-first cousin are, she foolishly charges into battle with aid from Hisui and his fellow demon-slayers, with mirrored sunglasses to protect herself from turning into a statue of rock. It is then that Setsuna realizes that she can put an end to all of this suffering. She utilizes her Yukari no Takichiri's strongest and most useful ability to cut all physical and immaterial things/beings, both seen and unseen, to restore the destiny of the snake-demon and that of her human love, a fisherman. Finally at peace with herself and the humans on the surface, the Snake-Demon manages to regain her true form and returns to her home in the sea. The Half-Demon Princesses leave on Takechiyo, with Riku watching from a distance; glad that Towa is safe and that he awaits their next encounter, during which Towa would be wielding a genuine weapon fully empowered with immense demonic energy against the mighty Zero and her honorable yet ambitious younger brother Kirinmaru.
27 | 3 | "The Silver-Scale Curse" | Katsuya Ōshima | Katsuyuki Sumisawa | Katsuya Ōshima | October 16, 2021 | TBA | [11] |
Jaken recalls how fourteen years ago, an eighteen-year-old Rin had been approached by Lady Zero who had fatally cursed the wife of Sesshomaru via her binding spell coupled with a very rare thread of destiny. Now that Kirinmaru's elder sister had had Rin as leverage over Sesshomaru, she demanded the know the whereabouts of their newborn twin daughters; without such information, her silver-scale curse would further spread throughout Rin's entire body to the point that she would be encased in silver scales and ultimately perish permanently. Out of options, Jaken had requested that Rin be placed under the protection and care of the mighty Sacred Tree of Ages, whose infinite time-based powers would assist in reducing a rapid spread of Zero's curse by forever keeping Rin within her current state of suspended animation. The Sacred Tree of Ages had then instructed Jaken to put a portion of the sacred Dream Butterfly on four-year-old Setsuna's neck, with which Rin's youngest twin daughter's own dreams and sleep would then be transferred to Rin to preserve her young life and temporarily stop the lethal curse in its tracks. In the feudal era's current timeline, the Half-Demon Princesses resume their search for Bokusenō the two-thousand-year-old tree-demon to retrieve a mystical Kyūyōkon Root for Towa's proper and fully demonic-empowered sword. He informs them that a root of such ancient, mystical demonic power originates from none other than Mount Musubi, but neglects to mention the unusually strong shield of pure mystical, demonic energy that surrounds it. The Half-Demon Princesses reach the outside of said mystical demonic mountain and wonder what mysteries and secrets await them. We last see a transparent young red-haired girl slumbering deeply on a pale green glowing scale in the very center of Mount Musubi.
28 | 4 | "The Barrier at Mount Musubi" | Mitsuhiro Yoneda | Katsuyuki Sumisawa | Mitsuhiro Yoneda | October 23, 2021 | TBA | [12] |
Outside Mount Musubi, which contains vast amounts of both demonic and spiritual energy, Jaken and Sesshomaru wait. Jaken tells his lord and master that it is where the cat-eared teenage demon girl Rion has been sealed away for six long centuries. The Half-Demon Princesses become separated but Moroha is capable of entering through the incredibly strong demonic/spiritual energy shield due to possessing spiritual powers. Rion finally awakens and tells Moroha that she can find Towa and Setsuna, but only if she is willing to let go of what she holds most precious. The quarter dog-demon girl breaks through with her sacred arrow and enters the border between the mortal world and that of the Afterlife, where is confused at seeing the gigantic skeletal corpse, unaware it is her paternal grandfather. Inuyasha and Kagome Higurashi are shown to have come down to terms to their fourteen-year imprisonment in the demon graveyard. Inuyasha tells his human miko wife that the fang of his mighty Tessaiga is stirring because it is trying to tell him something important. As the spirit of Moroha continues to hover throughout the graveyard, her scared arrows suddenly become restless and becomes emotional upon glimpsing Inuyasha and Kagome, whom she recognizes from the picture that her Uncle Sota had shown her all those months ago. Kagome is excited upon seeing her firstborn child as a teenage, to which Inuyasha expresses how glad he is that his own child has been living fine without their parental guidance and love. Meanwhile, Towa is being tested by the voice of none other her middle school teacher Osamu Kirin, who informs her that she must let go of the modern era. However, Setsuna is taken to the Sacred Tree of Ages and finally meets the sleeping eighteen-year-old Rin within the unparalleled time-based entity very core. Setsuna then recalls how the song she plays on her violin was a memory that only her body could recall, realizing that she must have learned it from the woman she now sees. The Sacred Tree of Ages asks the half dog-demon girl how she feels getting to meet her mother again; explaining how her young human mother has not aged since being hidden within it for fourteen years since she gave birth to Towa and Setsuna, which had been aided by the elderly low-level miko Kaede, uppermost-level priestess Kagome Higurashi, and retired master demon-slayer Sango.
29 | 5 | "The Girl Named Rion" | Ayumu Ono | Katsuyuki Sumisawa | Ayumu Ono | October 30, 2021 | TBA | [13] |
The Half-Demon Princesses befriend Rion, the only child of Beast King Kirinmaru of the Dawn, who had perished six centuries previously but had her spiritual essence perpetually bound to the earthly plane by the deep obsessive fatherly love Kirinmaru still has for her. With her own strength and resolve to put a stop her father's ambition to bring forth the Degenerate Age foretold by the Sacred Tree of Ages, Rion is able to sustain her mind and spirit within an artifical body and presents Towa with the universally ancient Star-Slicer Flute that transforms into the supremely powerful star sword the Zanseiken! With a universally powerful stellar demonic-empowered star sword equal in strength to the Bakuseiken wielded by Kirinmaru, the Half-Demon Princesses are ready to face anything or anyone that either Kirinmaru or his elder sister Zero send their way.
30 | 6 | "Hisui the Demon Slayer" | Takashi Mamezuka | Hiroko Kanasugi | Toshihiko Masuda | November 6, 2021 | TBA | [14] |
Finally being able to sleep after a whole decade, Setsuna is abducted by ninjas who serve under Princess Ayia and her father the Lord. Princess Ayia coerces Setsuna to take her lessons for her as the Princess leaves via palanquin to enjoy her newfound freedom outside the castle. Setsuna is surprised to see that the instructor is none other than Hisui, who has been forced into taking the place of his twin elder sister Nun Kin'u. On her way further outside the castle, Princess Ayia is attacked by an octopus demon who plans to devour her. Fortunately, she is saved by Hisui, who she immediately falls for, and assistance from Kin'u's sacred sutras and her twin sister Gyokotuo's sent beads. The Lord discovers his daughter's duplicity and severely lectures her as Setsuna returns to Kaede's village, where a relieved Towa hugs her. Setsuna does not inform her twin about her predicament and leaves to train in further developing and increasing her Yukari no Takichiri's divinely powerful abilities and unique techniques to their full strength. Lost in thought and still uncertain about the fact that saving Rin from Zero's deathly curse is up to her alone, Setsuna goes to the Sacred of Ages and plays her mother's lullaby on her violin again as the deeply sleeping Rin continues to listen from within.
31 | 7 | "Takechiyo's Request" | Akira Toba | Katsuyuki Sumisawa | Atsuo Tobe | November 13, 2021 | TBA | [15] |
Towa and Setsuna are attacked by a gigantic earth-type rock demon due to them being the twin daughters of the mighty Sesshomaru, with the belief that destroying them will make him mighty as well. Towa is about to beat him with her newly acquired Zanseiken, but again hesitates a he appears "guilty" for actions. As Towa's overly kind heart and unwillingness to kill nearly gets her killed herself, Setsuna defeats the rock demon with a blast of pure demonic energy from her Yukari no Tachikiri. As their adversary splits into three child-like earth demons and flee with the promise to attack again, Setsuna informs her twin sister that it may be best for Towa to return to the modern era as she believes that she is perfectly capable of saving their mother Rin and putting an end to Lord Kirinmaru single-handed. Elsewhere, Moroha disguises herself in front a set of four male demons in the shape of porcelain masks who inform her of just how strong and notorious her parents have become before she was born: Inuyasha's ultimate triumph over Naraku and Kagome Higurashi having defeated and imprisoned a very powerful daiyokai with an extraordinarily strong sealing arrow within the seven months she had lived in the feudal era. The four masks mock Kagome's daughter as she is only a quarter-demon but still think she is trouble. Annoyed, Moroha reveals herself and admits that she does not yet possess spiritual powers to equal those of her mother, but this statement causes the demon masks to open a portal to avoid being exorcised/purified by her anyway. Now that she knows that her parents' notorious feats are the reason why that business in slaying minor or major-league demons was declined regardless of her own reputation as "the Demon Killer." Takechiyo then appears and informs Moroha that he has requested her help in his homeland, where Moroha meets the elder raccoon-dog Hachimon, who tells her that it was he who had brought her to village of Northern Wolf-Demon Tribe at the behest of Inuyasha and Kagome when she was a newborn.
32 | 8 | "Nanahoshi's Mini Galaxy" | Kento Nakagomi | Katsuyuki Sumisawa | Kazuo Terada | November 20, 2021 | TBA | [16] |
Again disguised as Otsuyu, Zero arrives at Nanahoshi's mansion who uses his miniature galaxy to draw strength from her sorrow, but is shocked to discover that Zero does not possess any such sentiment. She takes his shock as an opportunity to immobilize him with the vast demonic powers of her Rainbow Pearls, from within which her tears and sorrows reside, to set a trap for the Half-Demon Princesses. As Kohaku and his demon-slayers are preparing to set out on their mission to a village that requires their exceptional skills in wiping out a herd of fire bulls that have strayed from following the local deity Mayonaka. Using the lavender-scented hand cream that Towa had given her to soften her dry hands, Setsuna glimpses the childlike demon spirit Akuru as Towa had earlier as Riku and Rion had come to request their assistance in accompanying her as Zero is after her very life and those of Setsuna and Moroha as well. Having been caught by the Raccoon-Dog Tribe, Moroha is incarcerated in a dungeon but manages to use a Swiss Army knife to escape. Hiding in the ceiling to try to reclaim her shortbow and arrows, Moroha is stunned to hear that Takechiyo has a younger brother whose father had his forehead scarred by Inuyasha while his comrade, the Full Moon Raccoon-Dog, was defeated and imprisoned in a scroll by nineteen-year-old Kagome Higurashi's sealing arrow, which explains the whole Raccoon-Dog Tribe's fury and hatred towards Moroha. As the quarter-demon girl is chased by angered raccoon-dog demons, she tries to fight them off with her Crimson Dragon Wave but it was proven ineffective. Now facing the very foes that her parents had defeated, who are bent on returning the favor, Moroha takes out her rouge to temporarily increase her strength and skills with her new-and-improved Beniyasha form since her battle with Kirinmaru to avenge her beloved half-cousin's recent death. She attacks with her temporarily enhanced Crimson Backlash Wave, but her adversaries do not seem worried in the slightest which she comes to realize.
33 | 9 | "Mayonaka the Visitor" | Hidekazu Hara | Katsuyuki Sumisawa | Hidekazu Hara | November 27, 2021 | TBA | [17] |
Riku utilizes Towa's lavender-scented hand cream to "fix" his damaged eyes, which turn them from dark green to a light lavender. He claims that this is a good thing as Kirinmaru will no longer be able to see exactly where they are anymore though his eyes. At Maihmara Island, Moroha is easily beaten by the two rouge raccoon-dogs, despite her bragging that her evolved Beniyasha form was now "new and improved." Takechiyo and Hachi take shelter in a cave as Moroha sleeps from the use of her deceased paternal grandmother's shell rouge once more. Still continuing their expedition in Goukou Village, the Demon-Slayers try to find a way to stop the Flame Bulls and finally appease their master Mayonaka the "demon god" deity. Setsuna ends up learning Mayonaka's full story, that he is just a deity who had been deceived by the villagers and even the headman's daughter Oharu, whom he had fallen for. Wanting to help him move on from his sorrow, Setsuna utilizes her Yukari no Tachikiri to cut Mayonaka's light golden threads of destiny from his treasured possession, the Blessing of the Five Grains. Once she does, the shine crumples to reveal Oharu's dead body (who had used as sacrifice) which shocks Mayonaka. Finally understanding what had transpired, he hugs his human love and leaves with her spirit to enter the Afterlife. As the demon-slayers depart, Setsuna begins to feel a strange sensation and wonders what it could be.
34 | 10 | "Battle on the New Moon, Part 1" | Kei Umabiki | Katsuyuki Sumisawa | Kei Umabiki | December 4, 2021 | TBA | [18] |
Moroha, Lord Takechiyo and Hachiemon are on their way to recover Moroha's shortbow and arrows from the rouge raccoon-dog Shogen Mamaiana and take shelter in a cave. In an inn, Setsuna is hauled up as she experiences what is like to be fully mortal for the first time in an entire decade; her already long black hair hair growing to nearly reach her caves and her eyes turning from blue to brown. Knowing how useless she is, Setsuna gives Hisui written instructions on how to deal with the demons that have come for. While building a hang guilder, Hachiemon tells Moroha the story about how the Shogen and Full Moon Raccoon-Dog, the guardian spirit of the whole tribe, were defeated by Inuyasha and Kagome Higurashi, Miroku and Sango. Inuyasha had used his Wind Scar against Shogen, giving him the scar on his forehead. With help from Hachiemon, Kagome had managed to immobilize the Full Moon Raccoon-Dog in a pillar of mighty spiritual power and have him fully absorbed within a scroll which was later strengthened somewhat with Miroku's help. Wanting more information on how to put an end to this feud, Moroha has Takamaru the Owl find either Miroku or Sango, to ask just how Shogen and his demonic magic were defeated. Meanwhile, an equally powerless Towa expresses her deep concerns over her twin sister finally experiencing the effects of the new moon since her Dream Butterfly was cut down. However, she is abducted and taken to Nanaoshi's mansion, where Zero attempts to use what she has learned from seeing Towa's memories within the Silver Rainbow Pearl that the Half-Demon Princess has had within her left eye for a whole decade to help Nanahoshi further his own power by feasting on Towa's enduring sadness and unpredictability.
