Welcome to Wednesday Wait Loss!
WWL is a place where you can share photos of quilts you’re working on and get encouragement to finish them from our Wednesday Wait Loss group! As you can see, I’ve been doing this for years (over 400 weeks!) and so our group is strong, loves to share, and is very welcoming.
Here’s how it works. Every week I start out by sharing what I’ve been working on. Then I share the projects from the previous week that most inspired me so that they will inspire you too! This is followed by the actual link up where you can share a photo of your current project. If you are new to linking up, I have a separate page that steps you through the whole process.
First let me tell you what I’ve been up to
On Wednesday and Thursday, I worked on making Bosum Buddies for the ByAnnie SewPink Blog Hop.
On Thursday, I launched my Charlotte and Lydia Quilt Along with a post on Fabric Selection. If you’d like to join us, click here to sign up for the special newsletter and receive an extra discount on the pattern.
On Saturday I finished the Bosum Buddies and photographed them for a blog post.
On Sunday I began planning a November weekend retreat for my membership. This will be an online virtual retreat, with everyone working on their own projects, playing games, making Lotto and charity blocks, fun mini-workshops, prizes, and getting to know each other. I’ll be opening the retreat up to the public as a way of introducing quilters to my membership.
If you think you might be interested, sign up for my Membership Waitlist here and I’ll notify you when the retreat is open.
Also on Saturday I hosted my two hundred and thirty-ninth Saturday Sew-in. Come share what you’re working on while getting to know quilters from around the world at this weekly online sewing retreat.
Join us this Saturday for Saturday Sew-in #240 - from 8 AM to 6 PM EST. Come sew with us and make some new quilty friends!
Tuesday was my day on the ByAnnie Sew Pink Blog Hop. Click here to learn how you can support women with breast cancer.
Also on Tuesday, I released my newest pattern—Ribbon of Hope. I designed Ribbon of Hope to make breast cancer quilts for charity but the pattern can be used to make supportive quilts of all types by simply changing the colors.
Ribbon of Hope comes in two sizes and is on sale now through October to commemorate Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
And that was my week!
Now let’s see who made this week’s feature
Let’s start with the finishes that caught my eye.
Up first is Gail @ Quilting Gail who shared her latest Island Batik project—two PayDay purses! Aren’t they pretty? And very practical too. I love ByAnnie patterns so I’ll have to check these out.
Next, Pretti @ Sew Preeti Quilts also shared her Island Batik project—Snapshot bags ByAnnie! Pretti made these in her favorite color. Aren’t they lovely?
And finally, Gretchen @ Gretchen’s Little Corner shared her Radiant Blues finish. What a labor of love!
Now let’s take a look at the the the works in progress that turned my head. Please stop by each quilter’s blog to leave an encouraging comment so they can celebrate a finish soon!
Up first is Maggie @ Making a Lather shared several projects in progress, including these Snails Trails blocks. Maggie likes to recycle fabrics for her blocks and I have to say I really love the colors here!
And finally, Nann @ With Strings Attached shared several projects including Aunt Vina’s Favorite top and some homespun blocks. I love the wonderfully neutral look of the Aunt Vina top! So pretty. And these homespun blocks are simply charming.
Time to link up!
It’s time to link up your projects - whether finished or just begun, we want to see them!
