Chris Pine stars in Dungeons & Dragons film adaptation
Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves is an action-adventure fantasy comedy produced by Paramount Studios. The original script was written by Michael Gillo and Chris McKay, who receive story credits for the film. Nevertheless, after a few failed efforts to start production, writing and directing responsibilities were taken over by duo Jonathan Goldstein and John Francis Daley (writers of Horrible Bosses).
The film stars Chris Pine (Star Trek), who plays Elgin the Bard. He is joined by Regé-Jean Page (Bridgerton) as swordmaster Xenk the Paladin. Michelle Rodriguez (The Fast and the Furious) plays the fierce Holga the Barbarian, and Sophia Lillis (It) plays Doric the Druid. Justice Smith (Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom) adds a touch of magic as Simon the Sorcerer. Hugh Grant (The Undoing, Love, Actually) has traded in his rom-com scripts to play this film's villain, Forge Fitzwilliam.
Some of the cast from the Dungeons & Dragons web series, Critical Role, make cameo appearances in the film, ensuring that the movie is never far from is role-playing game roots.
