Damsel is a fantasy drama film produced by Roth/Kirschenbaum Films for Netflix. The film is directed by Juan Carlos Fresnadillo, who previously helmed Intacto and 28 Weeks Later. Damsel is written by Dan Mazeau, who previously co-wrote Fast X and Wrath of the Titans.
Damsel stars Millie Bobby Brown (Stranger Things) as Princess Elodie, who finds herself tricked into marriage only to become a sacrifice to a dragon. She is joined by Angela Bassett, playing Elodie's stepmother, Lady Bayford, Nick Robinson as her “husband”, Prince Henry, Robin Wright as Queen Isabelle, Ray Winstone as the King, Brooke Carter as Henry’s younger sister, Princess Élodie (not to be confused with Millie Bobby Brown’s character). The rest of the cast is rounded out by Ricky Guillart and Shohreh Aghdashloo.
