Pole Swing

Pole Swing is a technique introduced in Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance. It allows the user to swing around horizontal poles or columns, knocking enemies in the air.

Mechanics[edit]

In Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance, Pole Swing is a Flowmotion command. It is activated by sliding towards a horizontal pole or column with Y.

In Kingdom Hearts III, Pole Swing is a mobility ability that costs 1 AP to equip. It is activated by using Air Slide, Aerial Dodge, Sliding Shot, Avatar Shift or Sonic Step to move forward into a horizontal pole or column, or when using Offensive Dodge into a pole or column while in the air. Moving backward into a pole or column (with Backslide, Offensive Backslide, Sliding Shot or Avatar Shift) can also activate Pole Spin, but only when coming into contact with its surface at non-perpendicular angles.
