Beau Gallegos is a founding member of the Cambiar Catalyst Fellowship going all the way back to the early days when it was still called the School Systems Leaders Fellowship or SSLF at TFA. Beau leads the Catalyst coaching work overseeing the various coaching arcs offered and works closely with each of the Catalyst coaches to ensure fellows’ needs are being addressed. Beau also serves as a coach for regional and national cohorts of the Catalyst Fellowship. With over twenty years of experience supporting educators as they navigate their careers, Beau brings a wealth of knowledge to his coaching. Reflecting on their experience with Beau as a coach, one fellow shared “Beau created space where I could explore half-baked ideas and initial feelings. He allowed me to vent without the venting veering off into rumination. I left every meeting feeling like I had untangled something or understood a new way to think about my work challenges. He was honest and held me accountable in a warm and inviting way.” Are you interested in working with Beau or one of the other Catalyst coaches? Congratulations to Cambiar Catalyst alum Phelton Cortez Moss, Ph.D. ('19) on being elected to serve as the next District 07 School Board Member for the Prince George's County Board of Education!
Tenure-Track Assistant Professor, Educational Leadership & Affiliate Faculty, Wilder School of Government & Public Affairs at Virginia Commonwealth University
Incredibly honored to serve as the next District 07 school board of education member for the Prince George’s County Board of Education. I am committed to being an equity focused board of education member for the over 130,000 students and nearly 20,000 school employees! I am also deeply humbled by the over 115 volunteers who helped us win this race—it was indeed a hard fought battle. Running against an incumbent is no easy task. The real work begins now! And, we must continue to elect equity-minded educators to boards of education!
