Scott+Scott specialiseert zich in procederen voor bedrijven en andere stakeholders in civiele zaken, onder andere in de private handhaving van het Europees mededingingsrecht, en in privacy- en aandeelhouderszaken. Er is steeds meer werk in deze rechtsgebieden, waardoor we altijd behoefte hebben aan ondersteuning door werkstudenten/paralegals! Mijn naam is Nura en ik heb de master Informatierecht (UvA) en de master Public International Law (UvA) gedaan.   👜 Hoe ben je in aanraking gekomen met Scott+Scott en waarom heb je gekozen om bij dit kantoor te solliciteren? Ik wilde graag ervaring in de advocatuur opdoen en toen wees mijn voormalige collega mij op de vacature voor werkstudenten. Na het zien van de vacature heb ik mij verdiept in Scott+Scott. De keuze was snel gemaakt toen ik ontdekte dat Scott+Scott omvangrijke en complexe privacyzaken doet én altijd de eisende partij bijstaat.   💡 Welke rechtsgebieden vind je interessant en hoe kun je jouw kennis hierover inzetten bij Scott+Scott? Mijn belangstelling ligt bij digitale rechten, inclusief het privacyrecht. Ik hoop deze kennis van het privacyrecht te kunnen gebruiken, aangezien Scott+Scott onder andere procedeert in WAMCA-zaken met betrekking tot privacyrecht. Aangezien de WAMCA in de praktijk relatief nieuw is en er dus ook veel ontwikkelingen plaatsvinden, is het interessant om dit van dichtbij mee te maken. Met name omdat dit een nieuwe wijze van privacyhandhaving is. Bovendien hebben de zaken van Scott+Scott vaak een internationaal element, wat past bij mijn interesse voor Europees recht. Verder is het fascinerend om te zien hoe burgerlijk procesrecht in de praktijk werkt, aangezien ik vooral kennis heb van de theoretische aspecten.   👩⚖️ Heb je een tip voor studenten en afgestudeerden die graag kennis willen maken met de advocatuur/Scott+Scott? Iedereen binnen Scott+Scott is erg benaderbaar, wees daarom niet bang om vragen te stellen. Joseph Guglielmo, Scott+Scott Consumer Practice Group Chair has been appointed Co-Lead Counsel  in In re: Consumer Vehicle Data Tracking Collection (No. 1:24-MD-3115-TWT), a multidistrict litigation pending in the United States District Court for the North District of Georgia. The litigation centers on the unauthorized tracking and collection of consumer vehicle data by General Motors and OnStar, as well as data analytics companies LexisNexis Risk Solutions and Verisk Analytics, Inc. Insightful article published by Reuters today, highlighting a new securities class action lawsuit filed by Scott+Scott Amsterdam on behalf of the non-profit foundation Fiat Chrysler Investors Recovery Stichting against Fiat Chrysler’s legal successor Stellantis. The lawsuit alleges that the automobile manufacturer for years has cheated regulators and the broader public in relation to the emission testing. “We stand with FCIRS and are looking forward to bringing this lawsuit on behalf of the foundation representing investors who were misled by Fiat Chrysler and, as a result, suffered financial losses,” said Scott-Scott partner Jan-Willem de Jong.
