"A fundamentalist is a person who considers whether a fact is acceptable to their faith before they explore it." - Seth Godin This applies to everything you do beyond religion. Harvard psychology professor, Ellen Langer, pointed out how mindless people are in business; we find the very best way of doing things, and keep doing things that way, even though contexts may change. No matter what you’re doing—eating a sandwich, doing an interview, working on some gizmo, writing a report—you’re doing it mindfully or mindlessly. When you do it mindfully, curiosity is always present. As a result, you might try different ways. When you do it mindlessly, you never question. You become a fundamentalist.
