Mikaela Torcello is a Philadelphia based photographer and gaffer. Influenced by the complexities of adoption, Torcello’s work is rooted by identity and self expression, using the camera as an extension of herself. Besides photography, Torcello has also had success working on numerous films as a member of the lighting department. She was raised in Rhinebeck, NY and currently works between New York City and Philadelphia. She is a recent graduate of Pratt Institute with a BFA in Photography with a minor in History of Art and Design.
