A Different Man (2024)

A Different Man (2024) stars Sebastian Stan as Edward, an aspiring actor with neurofibromatosis who leads a quiet existence, crushing hard on his neighbor, a playwright named Ingrid Vold (Renate Reinsve). Edward is offered the chance to undergo a radical procedure that may cure him of his condition, and upon its success, he assumes the name Guy Moratz and tells people that Edward has taken his own life. Years later, Guy is a successful real estate investor who discovers that Ingrid is producing a play about Edward, so he auditions and lands the part. During rehearsals, a man named Oswald (Adam Pearson, of Under the Skin fame) with neurofibromatosis is brought on as a consultant for the play and this unlocks a lot of feelings inside Guy/Edward, and he may not react well to this new development!
