Kill Your Darlings (2013)

You’ll be killing your darling sperm while watching the skin in Kill Your Darlings (2013). Part biopic, part romantic drama and part thriller, this R rated flick is totally sexy! Based on true events and real people, the story takes place during the college days of some of the earliest members of the Beat Generation: Lucien Carr (Dane DeHaan), William S. Burroughs (Ben Foster), Allen Ginsberg (Daniel Radcliffe), and Jack Kerouac (Jack Huston) whose turn helped him win Breakthrough Performer at the Hamptons International Film Festival. The same can be said for Mr. DeHaan, who also nabbed a Gotham Award nomination. In the film, the four core writers come together to push the envelope at Columbia University, while thirty-something David Kammerer (Michael C. Hall) hangs around the peripheral due to his big crush on Lucien. Later, when David turns up dead under mysterious circumstances, the police quickly arrest Carr, Kerouac and Burroughs as potential suspects. As the film deals with the offing of Kammerer, you’ll be getting off on shots of DeHaan’s bare chest! The movie also includes Jennifer Jason Leigh as Naomi Ginsberg; Elizabeth Olsen as Edie Parker; Kyra Sedgwick as Marion Carr; and David Cross as Louis Ginsberg. Last, but not least, Olen Holm plays a gay sailor who bangs poet Ginsberg in bed. Needless to say, their naked sex scene is poetry in motion as Radcliffe goes bottoms up for the seaman! Judging by the pounding he takes, this portrayal of Ginsberg puts the beat into the Beat Generation!
