Although Synonyms (2019) isn’t about grammar, the film may have you twirling your tongue since it features French and Hebrew languages. Also known as Synonymes, this skinternational flick is inspired by the true experiences of writer/director Nadav Lapid. The dramedy follows a young Israeli man named Yoav (Tom Mercier) who decides his homeland is hopeless. Armed with his Franco-Israeli dictionary, the handsome hunk chooses to move to France where he plans to put down roots. While in Paris, Yoav tries to assimilate by refusing to reveal that he is Israeli-Jewish to his new friends Caroline (Louise Chevillotte), Emile (Quentin Dolmaire), Eyal (Gal Amitai) and Michel (Olivier Loustau). But can Yoav keep this charade up when his trousers are down? Yes, there are choice scenes where the uninhibited actor shows off his onscreen assets! Just 4 minutes into the movie, Tom displays his big bulging underwear. When he takes his panties off and heads to the bathroom, we get to view his nude booty.
