The Champion (2024)

Netflix is back with another sizzling Spanish-language drama, The Champion. It's about a hotheaded dyslexic soccer player who finds a new lease on life after his manager father assigns him a sexy daddy tutor. As you do. Diego (Swit Eme) is a twenty-year-old soccer prodigy known for his explosive antics. He rages out too hard after botching an important match, so much so that he must do damage control in order to save his reputation. Diego's team decides to hook him up with a genius tutor named Alex (Dani Rovira). The tutor diagnoses Diego with dyslexia, but more importantly, he sees a young man in need of a good father figure (Diego's manager dad is an asshole). So where does this leave us? Sadly Alex and Diego do not hook up, which is where we were willing The Champion to go. Thankfully Netflix did have the wherewithal to get both men out of their shirts. Dani is our daddy fantasy with his ripped physique and amazing body hair, and Swit is our smooth jock fantasy come to life. He's The Champi-YUM!
