The Summer with Carmen (2024)

Best friends Demos (Yorgos Tsiantoulas) and Nikitas (Andreas Labropoulos) are, quite frankly, living the dream in The Summer with Carmen (2023). They're spending their day at Athens' gay beach, taking in the sights and talking about how their adventures over the last summer would make a great screenplay for Nikitas to direct. This inventive Greek film then jumps around in time and space, taking a meta approach to the whole movie-within-a-movie conceit and really milking it for all it's worth!
