About Me

I’m a creative communications professional with over eight years of experience specializing in social media management, digital storytelling and strategic content creation. I believe that high-quality, timely and consistent content can create clear, positive impacts for any organization.

When I graduated from the University of Houston, I was thrilled to immediately join UH’s Division of University Marketing and Communications. As a proud Cougar, getting the opportunity to manage and produce content for my alma mater’s flagship social media channels felt like a dream come true — and it’s a passion that continues to drive me every day.

In my current role as Director of University Social Media, I lead UH’s primary social media accounts and our talented, collaborative team. Together, we develop and execute strategic content plans, produce engaging graphics, photos and videos, share timely announcements, and closely monitor community engagement. Under my leadership, the University of Houston earned a No. 1 ranking in Texas for overall social media engagement among Division I colleges in Rival IQ’s 2024 Higher Education Social Media Engagement Report.

Since taking on UH’s social media accounts, I’ve led our Instagram presence from ranking No. 241 in the nation in 2020 to No. 7 in 2023 and grown our following by over 72,000 users (an 85% increase). My focus has always been on creating meaningful content that resonates deeply with our diverse audience.

Before leading UH’s central social media efforts, I produced video content for UH Cougar Football, where I shot and edited cinematic social media videos, recruiting features and game day highlights. I also have freelance experience working with a diverse range of clients — including innovative online pharmaceutical brands, retail product launches, wealth management firms, local churches and educational institutions — to develop impactful multimedia content that strengthens their brands.
