Today I am sharing a very healthy one-pot rice that is common in Nagercoil and Tirunelveli. The word 'Ulundhanchoru' brings me a lot of childhood memories and I was very emotional after making this rice. My mum was a full-time teacher, we always had a stay-at-home Nanny to take care of me. Foodies Roof on Instagram: "Black urad dal chutney❣️❣️Karuppu ulundhu chutney ❣️ This urad dal chutney is one of the healthiest chutneys to make for idli and dosa. It is super delicious and makes you eat more!! If you are bored of regular chutney , try this as it can be made within 10 mins. 1. In a kadai, add 1 tbsp sesame oil, 1/4 cup black urad dal (if you don't have use white ones). Roast well. Keep aside. 2. To the same oil, add shallots 5-6 and 1 medium sized onions and saute till translucent. Add 5-6 red chilli , a small size tamarind, curry leaves and salt 1/2 tsp. Saute well. 3. Add everything to a mixer jar and grind to chutney consistency. This can be tempered with oil, mustard, urad dal and curry leaves. Adjust chutney consistency with water. Have you heard of it before? Well, I have recently had it at one of my pahadi friends, and I absolutely, absolutely loved it. It’s basically grounded Udal recipe that’s made differently and tastes so yumm… let’s see how to make it. 

Ingredients 
1 cup urad dal
2 tsp wheat flour
2 tsp mustard oil
1 tsp coriander seeds
1 tsp cumin seeds
1 tsp black mustard seeds
2 dry red chillies
3-4 cloves garlic
1 inch ginger
2 green chillies
Handful of fresh coriander leaves 
1/2 tsp asafoetida 
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
2-2.5 cups water
Salt to taste
1 tsp lemon juice 

Method
1. Wash urad dal and leave it to dry for 5-10 mins
2. In a mortar pestle, pound green chillies, garlic, ginger, coriander seeds and coriander leaves
