Love in Pottery on Instagram: "by @thepotterscup. Decorating a miniature pitcher. For this little one I used 100 grams of clay. I threw it on the wheel and pulled the handle. It’s a delicate process which requires a lot of “Fingerspitzengefühl”. This long word is German and I wish there was an adequate translation for it. It literally says “ Fingertip feeling”. Any Germans out there who can help explain😂. The word means more than just feeling in the fingertips. FOLLOW👉 @loveinpottery for more pottery contents ☕️ ! These ceramic artists revolutionized how we look at (and work with) ceramics. they elevated clay from something that was seen as a mere craft material to a medium taken seriously in the art world. Plus they fearlessly explored and pushed the limits of ceramics! Yay! Shown here: Art by Robert Arneson Robert Arneson Ceramics, Robert Arneson, Famous Ceramic Artists, Pottery Form, Traditional Pottery, Sculpture Ideas, Traditional Ceramics, Small Sculptures, New Ceramics

J Roets on Instagram: "I love these
Inspired by Piketberg conebush, these will form part of the current fynbos bouquet commission I'm currently busy with.

So many elements going into this piece and so many hours spent sculpting tiny details.

I still need to sculpt a King Protea and Queen Protea and then assemble all the plants to create the bouquet before the work is sent off to the framers.

So excited to get this done! My client has waited patiently for many months and will finally arrive in South Africa next week to receive the 3 commissioned works I made for her.

Can't wait for her to have them 😊
