Dr. Lizzie Kieffer - Pelvic PT on Instagram: "Pelvic Openers ⬇️ Share with a friend who could use these 😘 So important for labor prep!! Both external and internal rotation are key for the different stages of labor and for overall being able to get baby down into the birth canal and ultimately enter the world! 🎉 External rotation will be more utilized in the beginning stages of labor and leading up to labor so baby can get down into the pelvic bowl (the pelvic inlet). When it comes to pushing and baby making their exit, we want to make more room in the pelvic outlet, so internal rotation will be very helpful here 👍🏻 Week 32 is when I start focusing more diligently on labor prep based movements and breathwork exercises. But definitely by week 36 we want to be incorporating labor p Cervix Opening Exercises, Breathwork Exercises, Labor Prep, Birth Prep, Birth Preparation, Breath Work, Stages Of Labor, Prepare For Labor, Prenatal Workout

Comment “CHILDBIRTH” for the direct link to our childbirth education for more education to help breakdown the mystery of birth! When your body is contracting during labor, as the cervix dilates and effaces it builds up and thickens the fundus. The fundus is what pushes baby down onto the cervix and eventually OUT of the body! When we have the practice contractions or Braxton hicks contractions, this is the middle portion of the uterus contracting, but nothing is happening really in the fundus to cause the cervix to dilate! This balloon demo is one of my favorites that we do in every childbirth ed class 😂😂 just watch out for the flying ping pong ball 😂 #childbirtheducation #uterus #fundus #labo Cervix Opening Exercises, How To Dilate Cervix Faster Naturally, Cervix Dilation, Contractions Labor, Braxton Hicks, Childbirth Education, What Is Happening, Ping Pong, Labor

Pregnancy Guide on Instagram: "Natural ways to induce labor. While these natural methods can be helpful, it’s essential to approach them with caution and under the guidance of a healthcare provider. Some methods can have potential risks or side effects, particularly if there are underlying pregnancy complications.

1. Walking is one of the simplest and most recommended methods to help induce labor. The gentle motion and gravity can help the baby move lower into the pelvis, putting pressure on the cervix and encouraging dilation.

2. Se*ual activity can help induce labor as se.men contains prostaglandins, which may help soften the cervix.

3. Stimulating the n1pples releases oxytocin, a hormone that causes uterine contractions. This is what your cervix does in labor. The process of the cervix opening (dilating) is one way that healthcare staff track how a woman's labor is progressing. During labor, the cervix opens to accommodate the passage of the baby's head, which is 10 centimeters dilated. Our experts explore three reasons for a lack of progression in labor: Cephalopelvic disproportion or CPD (the baby’s head is too large for the mother’s pelvis), inefficient contractions (because the cervix has stopped dilating, or is dilating slowly), posterior presentation (the baby’s head is facing towards the mother’s back).
