Joshua's Altar- Pottery ash and bones were found inside the altar. The pottery was dated to the 13th century B.C. during the time of the Exodus. The ashes and bones of 942 individuals equated to 50-100 male sheep, goat and cattle were examined at the Department of Zoology at the University of Haifa and were found to be kosher, all about one year of age and in keeping with the Bible. If this had been a Canaanite altar the bones of eagles, snakes, and various unclean animals would have been found.
