Or maybe you need to create a wooden staff that has a very specific shape to match the character design. I got several comments that my new Kraken Staff looked a lot like my Elvish Staff. I might see their point, but when you hold them together I hope you see the difference. The method I used is very similar to how I made the first staff. DIY Making a custom staff/walking stick for cosplay: I personally used this tutorial to create my own Maleficent staff for 2013 Halloween! The clay is easily manipulated to create your own design. The basis of the staff would be the same for all other staffs. make sure you have a solid "skeleton" of the staff before you start adding the clay.
