I took a short time out on my way home to do a weeks training in Montrose, Scotland. Its been a very interesting few days in spite of the weather being rather chilly. Scurdie Ness Lighthouse as dawn begins in Montrose, Scotland

Designed by David and Thomas (father of Robert Louis) Stevenson and first lit in 1870. The tower is 38m high. During World War Two the lighthouse keepers had to paint the tower black to prevent it being becoming a day mark for german bombers. The lighthouse was automated in 1987.
