🧊 Adding corn starch to water turns it opaque. Freeze it into icebergs or a realistic snowy ground

🧊 Put penguins in a muffin tin, add water/cornstarch and freeze - they’re SO fun to spin around and watch melt!

🧊 Freeze water around a jar then remove to make a fishing hole - we left ours in long enough for the top to freeze over, but the bottom half was still liquid. Add some blue food coloring and pipe cleaner fishies 🐟 So great for working on fine motor skills as littles try to catch the fish!

🧊 Freeze a tub of water at a slant to make a fun slide for your penguins

It was so fun to witness their reactions as they observed the penguins fizz once they touched the water thanks to the reaction of the baking soda touching the vinegar water. ❄️ Here's how I put together this activity: I froze the penguins in a muffin tin with water overnight I put baking soda as "snow" in one bin I put vinegar + water + blue food coloring in the other bin I added all of my winter animals + water droppers And I let them explore and play! Let me know if this is one you'll try!
