In both the Navy and Coast Guard the training to become a Rescue Swimmer was challenging both mentally and physically. Jumping out of helicopters into the ocean to rescue someone is no joke and requires superb physical fitness. If you want to stay in shape and love swimming try this workout!

I’m an underwater photographer, but you won’t find many macro images of coral or clownfish in my portfolio. I’m inspired by the people who connect most directly with the water: freedivers, researchers, filmmakers, and, above all, rescue swimmers of the U.S. Coast Guard.
