Vaquita SOS! The world's cutest and rarest porpoise, the vaquita, is almost gone. Only 6 to 8 critically endangered vaquita marina porpoises were sighted this year in the Gulf of California. Found only in Mexico's Upper Gulf of California, these precious porpoises are being driven to extinction by illegal fishing practices. Gillnets, used to catch the endangered totoaba fish, entangle and drown vaquitas, pushing them closer to the edge.

Some months ago I worked as a concept artist for a shortfilm about the Phocoena Sinus also known as Vaquita marina , a cetacean in Mexico that is in the brink or probably already extinct , at the end of 2018 the estimated number of vaquitas in the wild was 15 :( I used Zbrush to make do the 3d model and texture , for the floor its a 3D scan I had from some rocks that I scanned in San Francisco.
