Affinity Groups

Our company-wide, employee-run DEI Committee and Affinity Groups are active and inclusive of everyone in more than 20 global media brands, with inclusivity actions across recruitment, education, awareness and more. Recent initiatives include a PMC-funded book club, a Women Leaders at PMC interview series and PMC-matched fundraising.

Throughout the year, PMC offers DEI Listening Circles led by experienced facilitators, fostering important conversations and learnings amongst all staff.

DEI Committee

The Committee’s mission is to foster and reinforce an inclusive environment for ALL our colleagues across PMC brands and inform PMC leadership of opportunities to strengthen and broadcast the company's diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts.

Relationship-building with National Association of Black Journalists
CoE alumni Aramide Tinubu recently joined Variety as the new TV Critic and is the first African American female to hold this position

Some highlights of what our Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee members do include our internal Center of Excellence program and relationship-building with organizations, schools and small businesses such as National Association of Black Journalist (NABJ), Howard University, Inevitable Foundation, LaVant Consulting and AHRC (employment for individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities).

They are focused on these main areas: Talent Acquisition, Building Awareness, Education, Internal Talent Development, Freelancer and Contributor Information Centralization, and Communication.

Holocaust Remembrance Day – SPeaker

Ilana Yaari

PMC’s Jewish Affinity Group partnered with the Museum of Jewish Heritage to host Holocaust Remembrance Day (Yom HaShoah) by having Ilana Yaari, a witness of the Holocaust and Warsaw Ghetto, speak about her experience.

Pride month – happy hour

Pride Celebration

PMC’s LGBTQ + Friends Affinity Group celebrates Pride month with a happy hour in partnership with Queer-Owned and Asian-Owned wine brand, So Gay Rosé. They work with local partners in each of the cities where their wine is sold to give back to LGBTQ organizations in the area.
