Roger Ebert Chicago Sun-Times Twice in a Lifetime stacks its cards very carefully, and cuts the deck more than once. One of the strengths of the movie is that it allows us to see so many points of view. Pat W Never heard of this movie before and I like the cast so I thought I'd watch. Sorry. I just couldn't understand why Ann Margaret would fall for Gene Hackman. I thought the writing was mediocre. And Ellen Burstyn is such a good actress and her part was so so. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 02/20/23 Full Review Audience Member Brutally honest film about adultery and the effects on the people involved. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 04/30/21 Full Review steve d It really drags despite some fine performances. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 03/30/23 Full Review Audience Member Low key, perceptive, realistic. They don't make them like this anymore and that is a shame. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/16/23 Full Review Audience Member A recently turned fifty year old businessman leaves his family in search of new love with a barkeep. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/12/23 Full Review Audience Member Amazing performances from Ellen Burstyn, Gene Hackman, Ann Margret, and Amy Madigan who received a much earned Oscar nomination. It is very well written even if it starts off a little slow. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/19/23 Full Review Read all reviews
