PROJECT IN MATH QUADRILATERAL is a polygon with four sides (or edges) and four vertices or corners.

Sometimes, the term quadrangle is used, by analogy with triangle, and sometimes tetragon for consistency with pentagon (5-sided), hexagon (6-sided) and so on . The sum of all angles is 360. The origin of the word "quadrilateral" is the two Latin words quadri, a variant of four, and latus, meaning "side." TYPES

PROPERTIES
Has equal sides Diagonal are congruent Every angle is right angle Opposite sides are parallel Diagonals bisect each other each diagonal is a perpendicular bisector of the other

Trapezium
(UK: Trapezoid)
The quadrilateral in which only one pair of opposite sides is parallel is called trapezium.

Only one pair of opposite sides is parallel

- A quadrilateral in which there are two pairs of sides & each pair is made up of adjacent sides that are equal in length is called kite.

Adjacent sides are congruent One diagonal bisect each other The diagonals are perpendicular
